Bill Sanders was
Head Server at St Alban's for many years
and much respected by all of the servers he
worked with, and also by the clergy. In the
1990s he had been Churchwarden for many
years. He was always willing to do anything
that needed doing in and around the church
to help out. His dedication and commitment
to St Alban's church was very great, and he
is sadly missed by all of the church family.
On Sunday 12th
August 2007 a statue of Our Lady of
Walsingham was dedicated in memory of Bill
and placed in a prominent position in the
church, this would please him so much since
he had a great devotion to Our Lady.
